Partner description:

Intempora SAS is a software French company based in Paris, France. Intempora is a subsidiary company of dSPACE since 2020. Intempora is a software editor that created and updates two products: RTMaps and IVS. RTMaps middleware allows to collect, process, record, and replay data from any sensor of the market. Not only this technology allows to develop high performance real-time applications easily, but it also allows to share algorithms and code between partners while keeping the intellectual property to their respective owners. IVS is a test and validation suite that allows to manage and process huge amount of data in the cloud or on premise. Intempora has activities mainly in the automotive domain for ADAS and autonomous vehicles development, tests and validation, but addresses also other domains such as human factors and advanced HMIs in various fields, data recording, robotics, defense, 3D mapping, etc.

 

Role in the project:

Intempora will be the leader of middleware use case (UC-SS2), as well as T1.2 and T3.2. Intempora will provide training and free RTMaps licenses in the frame of this project. RTMaps will be the de facto standard integration platform for all the use cases of this project. Intempora will also provide its expertise around middleware, and develop and maintain custom plugins for RTMaps, dedicated for this project

Objectives

  • Obj. 1:
    Development of a new, centralized, and upgradable design for future in-vehicle ECAs based on HW/SW co-design enabling smart data flows to maximize efficiency, modularity, compatibility, and scalability.
  • Obj. 2:
    Exemplarily deployment of level 4 automation use cases characterized by expanded ODDs addressing complex urban scenarios and adverse weather conditions and harmonized validation methods.
  • Obj. 3:
    Enable a safe and cyber-secure operation of future CCAM solutions through system agility, experience-based decision making enabled by distributed intelligence in the edge-cloud continuity focusing on VRUs and ODD transitions.
  • Obj. 4:
    Realize a paradigm shift to integrated, resource efficient and reliable in-vehicle electronics control architectures based on open-source layouts enabling an easier development and integration of connected and automated driving functions.
  • Obj. 5:
    Set up an international cooperation of European OEMs and suppliers to co-design a harmonized ECA layout with harmonized interfaces.
